What are DTF Transfers?
DTF Transfers (Direct-To-Film) is a type of printing technique where digital designs can be printed on to a special film, coated with white adhesive powder, then cured. With DTF Transfers you'll be able to Heat-press them onto most fabrics.
What apparel can DTF be used on
You can press on any cotton, polyester, blends, nylon, canvas, leather, etc.
What do I need for my Transfers?
Basic items you'll need are:
- Heat Press/ Iron
- Teflon Sheet
- Your Transfer
Transfer is not adhering properly
If your transfer is being stubborn, don't worry we've got you covered! Try these quick fixes:
• Crank up the heat or pressure a notch (+10°F and/or +5 seconds more). Keep pushing until it sticks.
• Double-check that your pressure is set to medium or higher.
Pro tip: You can press as many times as you need. These transfers are tough and won't complain!
Transfer Shifts During Application
Tips to helps keep your transfer from shifting during application:
- Use Thermal Heat Tape to ensure the transfer.
- Close the heat press gently to avoid shifting
If you want to correct a shifted transfer: (try these at your own risk-patch test first)
- Use Vinyl Lettering Remover or any similar chemical solvent (TEST out this product on a small part of the garment as it may affect it)
- Re-press again immediately with a higher temp (but not high enough to scorch), you may be able to peel the design off like a vinyl or sticker
Washing Instructions
After transferring your design:
- Please wait 24 hours before washing.
- Always turn your garment inside-out before washing for longer longevity and durability
- Wash in cold water on gentle cycle
- Avoid bleach and harsh detergents
- Air dry or Tumble Dry on low heat
